Mediation
Conflict is a normal part of leadership. Handled well, it can deepen understanding, strengthen relationships and lead to better decisions.
For much of my professional life, I have found myself in the middle of difficult conversations.
As General Counsel at a large global Venture Capital firm, and now through my independent practice, I have worked alongside founders, boards, investors and leadership teams as they navigate disagreement, uncertainty and decisions with significant legal, commercial and personal consequences. Those experiences have taught me that durable resolutions rarely emerge from winning an argument; they emerge when people feel heard, understood and able to move forward together.
I am an IMI Qualified Mediator. My natural inclination is towards facilitative and transformative mediation, creating a process in which parties can better understand one another and discover solutions for themselves. At the same time, I recognise that every dispute is different, and I am comfortable drawing, where appropriate, on evaluative techniques to help parties assess options, reality-test positions and make informed decisions.
While my practice is not limited to any one sector, I bring a particular familiarity with the venture capital ecosystem and with legal and regulatory frameworks across India and Southeast Asia.
This allows me to appreciate not only the legal dimensions of a dispute, but also the commercial realities and relationships that often sit beneath it.
